"Scout" is the first EP released by Calpurnia, a Canadian rock band. The band consists of four kids, and one name might sound familiar. Fifteen-year-old Finn Wolfhard, IT and Stranger Things star, leads the band as singer and rhythm guitar. Ayla Tesler-Mabe is Calpurnia's seventeen-year-old guitarist, and Jack Anderson is their bassist, who is also seventeen. Malcolm Craig is fifteen and is their drummer. Calpurnia is heavily influenced by a band called Twin Peaks, which is signed to the same label. Over this year, Calpurnia released three singles from their EP before it was released in mid-June. The songs that were released consisted of "City Boy," "Louie," and "Greyhound." The band played a few shows before Scout was released, and because of Wolfhard's fame, the band has gotten a lot of attention. One thing I really love about this band is that they don't fully ride on fame but actually produce quality music. My favorite songs on this EP are "Louie," "Wasting Time,"and "Waves."
